Top 5 attractions at Ramoji Film City

Hey there! Hope you are doing well!

I recently visited the world’s largest film city – Ramoji Film City, in Hyderabad, India and I am so excited to share my experience.

If you are planning a trip there (which you really should), here are the top 5 attractions that you must see at RAMOJI FILM CITY.

About Ramoji Flim City:

Ramoji Film City is set up by Ramoji Group in 1996. It’s the World’s Largest Film City as Certified by Guinness World Records & India’s Thematic Holiday Destination with Magic of Cinema.

One of the best tourist attractions in Hyderabad, Ramoji Film City, it is a enthralling cinematic experience filled with amazing activities, shows, parades and lots of magic.

It is spread across 1500 acres and there’s just so much for everyone to see and enjoy. I had stayed there for two nights and loved every second of it.

All the places at Ramoji – watch video here.

Top 5 attractions you should not miss:

  1. Princess Street

Also called as the international street. This street is filled with tall buildings and houses of the most stunning colors and architectures. As you walk along the street, you can see how unique and pretty each building is. It takes you to a whole different world of colors.

It’s one of the first stops and there’s lots of cute doors and staircases for you take pictures.

It’s clean, it’s beautiful, it’s perfect.

2. Wings – Bird Park

Honestly, this is one of my favorite ones. I love nature and its mind blowing to see how well they have maintained the park and the multiple birds living in it.

The area is kept cool and shaded and if you are lucky, you might catch a flamingo casually walk next to you. (It happened to me!)

There’s a wide range of birds to see and learn about (many of which aren’t found locally). You can also sit and relax, close your eyes and listen to the chirping of the birds – it’s such a beautiful sound.

If you love birds and nature – this is going to be your favorite place in Ramoji.

3. SAHAS Adventure

This adventure land is full of activities for friends and family. Some of the activities are free while some are not.

It’s difficult to see all of Ramoji and enjoy all these activities in one day. But you can surely do one or two of these.

You need to be dressed appropriately and they will always help you with the harness.

Activities:

  1. Zip Line
  2. Paintball
  3. High Rope Course
  4. Cycling
  5. Bungee Ejection
  6. ATV ride
  7. Archery

4. Eureka Shows and rides

There are multiple shows and rides you can enjoy at Eureka (also the starting point).

Spirit of Ramoji is a beautifully curated dance show that you will love. It’s for about 15-20 minutes.

Wild West Stunt Show is a stunt show done right in front of your eyes. You can witness how the fighting scenes are actually played out. There’s punches, kicks, guns, jumps and lots of fun.

Eureka free rides:

  • Carousel
  • Break Dance
  • Ranger
  • Frisbee Coaster
  • Super Jet

Other rides might cost extra.

5. Bahubali Set

Bahubali – the super hit Indian movie series that shook the box office and quickly made it’s way into everyone’s hearts. This series was shot at Ramoji Film City and the set is still well maintained for you to visit and experience.

It’s a major attraction and cannot be missed. It’s incredible to see the epic set in real life.

You can sit on the Mahishmati throne, click a photo right where Devsena was caged and held captive, see the gigantic golden statue of Bhallaaladeva and then grab something to eat at the Bahubali Darbar.

I went twice to the set because I loved it so much and also because it’s huge – so I had to revisit it to see everything.

Check out the full Bahubali set – click here.

Quick note: Food items, snacks, water is easily available. You can fill your bottle at various drinking points. There’s also a continuous flow of Ramoji buses to help you move around the film city.

If you feel that one day isn’t enough to fully experience these sets – you can stay at their hotels – Sitara and Tara.

Would you want to visit this incredible film studio? Or have you been here already?
