This season, get traditional!
It’s the wedding season! There are so many people getting married this time of the year that it’s almost unbelievable. And New Year’s just around the corner as well! All the more reason to wear something traditional and make heads turn.
If you are anything like me, then you rarely wear traditional clothes like Kurtis, Suits, Anarkalis, Sarees, Lehengas and more. It’s not that I don’t have them, I just rarely wear them but with this wedding season and year end family parties and meet ups, wearing something traditional is an absolute much.
Peachmode is a site that has it all. Traditional outfits or jewellery, you need it, you’ll find it. A wide collection of beautiful Anarkalis, Sarees, Designer Lehengas, comfortable Kurtis and stunning accessories.
This ‘Black – Tan Heavy Net Zarine Khan Lehenga’ is incredibly gorgeous and with the delicate floral design and embroidery on top and lehenga it makes it even more striking. The net dupatta and sleeves and back just add to the beauty and for a wedding, this is the perfect outfit.
The quality is amazing and you can stitch it exactly for your measurements. Notch up the look with some dazzling earrings and bangles, since it’s a choker neck (trending currently), a neck piece isn’t required. A few rings, a suitable hairstyle, a head tikka or head gear and you are all set to make a statement.
I went ‘Kala Chasma’ by adding these sunglasses to the outfit. In case you are unaware, Kala Chasma is a Hindi song where people are dancing wearing Indian traditional outfits and trendy sunnies.
This ‘Light Peach Embroidered Georgette Tunic’ turned out to be long and like a dress, so instead of using it with leggings, I decided to go for a few different looks.
Added all brown accessories – a long neck piece, earrings, rings and bangles and a dark brown lip shade with brown ballerina flats. This is perfect for the first day of the Indian wedding like the mehendi day or just a casual family meet up.
In the next look, I added a colourful choker, multi-coloured earrings and bangles. A light plum shade of lipstick and floral shoes. This look is perfect for a day out where you want to dress in an indo-western outfit.
To add a bit of spice and color to this peach outfit, I grabbed my favourite purple shrug and wore it around the half way around the shoulder like a sash. This gives it a more western look but also maintains that traditional vibes. You can even wear it for an evening event or brunch.
This last one, is easily my favourite. ‘Beautiful Royal Blue Embroidered Anarkali Suit’ – the royal blue colour give it the look of elegance and the delicate embroidery on the top and bottom is beautifully done. The collar and then a deep V neck along with the net over the stomach is the trendy traditional outfit style and if you are looking for an Anarkali this season, I honestly suggest you go for this.
Golden earrings or jhumkas and a chain, I turned the rubber band into a ring, a golden bracelet and heels is all you need. I added a nose ring as well. A nude lipstick or brown is the best with this outfit and of course golden eye shadow makes it all the more better.
This wedding season and New Year’s, dress yourself in something traditional and ethnic. Make heads turn in your stunning Indian wear!
